Friggin' Monday

I hate those Mondays where you walk into work and it feels like you didn't even get a weekend. That's what today feels like. Friday was crazy. Both of my employees were out so I had to cover the wire room with another girl. There were a couple of off-the-wall requests that she and I had to figure out on our own, but I think we did pretty well. I am currently waiting to hear how out of balance we are though. That should be interesting...

Today started off with a bang. As I was getting ready in the bathroom, Atticus kept trying to squeeze his body under the sink (the cabinet thing is raised off the floor). I had no idea what he was doing, but he was intent. I'd pull him out, but he'd just crawl back under there, tail whipping around all spastically, paying no attention to me at all even whileI was dragging him out. Then I saw it waddle out from under the sink - A HUGE beetle!! It had to be 2+ inches long and 3/4 inch wide. EWWW! I screamed and made hubs get up out of bed to take care of it. *Shudder* I asked him what it was and he said, "I think it's a roach." I told him no way, roaches don't get that big here. They're tiny here. Then he admitted that he's never seen a roach before. *Rolls eyes* So no idea what the mystery bug was or how it came to be in my bathroom, but thankfully it's gone now.

I am ready to go back to bed!!

I'm so thankful for my cats. They find things like that w/out me even knowing that they are there. I'd rather them find it than me find it. ick

We have HUGE palmetto bugs here which is another name for large roach that has wings. They are so gross. The next time I see one I'll take a pic for you and your hubs. LOL

I had no time to comment on this yesterday, but got part-way through it & thought "he's hunting". LOL! Cats!

Did the bug have pinchers? Beetles usually do. Oh & do you have box
elder bugs there? Martini caught one once, they're a form of a stink bug & don't taste good. Poor kid was drooling for 1/2hr!
