Ow

I'm using the Diva Cup today, and all I can say is, UGH. First off, I had a helluva time getting it in straight. Okay, it's actually STILL not in straight but if there's a way to fix that I can't figure it out. So I decided to just leave it and see what happens.

What has happened so far is I'm in mild pain. I can't actually feel the cup, but I feel pressure that's almost like cramps and a lower back ache. It's a little unnerving and I'm seriously considering chucking this thing and exploring my other options. Two reasons I haven't done that yet: 1. I like the idea of using something that doesn't absorb, since that stuff tends to dry me out and irritate my skin, and 2. I spent over $30 on this thing! Plus $10 for special soap to clean it with. But every time I use it I get so frustrated I end up in tears, and it just adds to the devastation of another C down the drain. So... I'm not so sure it's worth the hassle.

I'm starting to wonder/worry that I might occasionally have anov C's. AF has been pretty light and mild this month. I haven't had much in the way of cramps and I didn't really have PMS either. I'm going to have to start using OPKs religiously, I want to find out what the heck is going on.

(Hugs) I am very sorry. I hope you feel better soon.

There's no way I would try one of those cups. I have no patience!

The Diva Cup sounds...like no fun at all. Ugh!

Hope AF leaves soon. ((hugs))

Man, I'm sorry Kitty. You can't seem to catch a break in that department.

I say chuck the thing...especially if it is leaving you in tears. AF is already a rough time for us without the added stress of the Di.va Cup!

((hugs))

Hey..Since I was one of the ones to recommend the Diva cup, I wish I could help you. I can only tell you that my first month using it was very hard..I felt as though I was going to OD on pain meds because the cramps were so bad...But I had no leakage. It was so hard to get in and be comfortable. I hope this is not TMI, but try doing it in the shower and pinch the bottom to turn it to get a good seal. You will get the hang of it if you decide to keep on trying..it is so worth it. Much more cost effective and as long as you don't wait too long to change it, it doesn't leak. Good luck

I'm sorry it's not going better for you Kitty. :^/

I had pretty much the same feeling about the In.ste.ads when I tried them. They were messy & uncomfortable & I was worried they'd leak. There aren't too many things that I get brand specific about, but I REFUSE to use off label feminine products, I'm always afraid that they'll give me some weird rash.

I hope you feel better soon! :)

I have to admit it doesn't sound very fun to use especially with cramps. I could never stand anything "up there" when I was cramping.

Maybe try it for a few rounds and if you still don't like it, chuck it.
